Natural Possession - Director's Cut

Director's Cut - 2016
Horror / Dark Comedy
Released formally as "Son Of Terror"

Written and directed by Antony De Gennaro

Winner of Xristos Award - 2016 AOF International Film Festival

Someone is killing homeless people in Pioneer Square. Local artist John Willem has been known to suffer from mental delusions but he believes he is having psychic visions about the killer's identity. Is it a gruesome, terrifying monster or the performance artist downstairs?

Desperately reaching out to his vanity driven, lust crazed friends only gets John stabbed in the back and sinks him deeper into psychosis. Confessing his visions to the local police gets him ridiculed. Now John is in a race against borrowed time. Too bad John's own narcissism conceals a much more sinister plot...a running bet for control of the entire universe.

The film was shot on Super 16mm and set in Pioneer Square, Seattle. It examines the horror of homelessness and mental illness while poking fun at the local art scene.

Natural Possession was modeled after classic monster and experimental, art house movies. It stars Alan Sutherland, Larry Laverty, Benjamin Barak Andrews, Marcel Davis, Dex Manley, Kelly King, Rodrigo DeMedeiros, Bernadette Cuvalo, Joseph Bayard, John DeGennaro, Natasha Sims & John Shaner.

Moun, a native Cambodian, survived decades of war, land mines and fighting the Khmer Rouge in the killing fields. Moun gives insight into the Russian & Chinese involvement of supplying weaponry and land mines with the intent of killing Cambodians to take over the country. The devastation caused by mines is felt to this day as people continue to lose their lives and limbs. Despite it all, Moun has kept his sense of purpose and humor. He says, "A cat has four legs, this cat has one leg."
