Legends

Remaster 2022

Legends is a folk rock, ambient music album.

Experimental layering of multiple guitars. Inspired by fantasy films. The album download on Bandcamp comes with a bonus of 6 original photographs.

"Legends: Imagine returning from a long journey, travel-weary but laden with treasure in the form of spells and rock power-candy. The world is resplendent and fertile. A light rain in Into Forever brings a meadow in Someone Like You. ***Take The Castle is deadly accurate allegro through inner architecture, spitting elegance. Finely-tuned warrior wisdom. Labyrinth is a fluid search--Ashes a canter and reprieve. You are staring into a bonfire. You are under the Milky Way with diamonds in your fists and all things are coherent. Sensual jams such as Travel Worn and Forest Reunion bring the fantasy concept full-circle. Subtle genius. Standout tracks: Very Far Away, Realm, Dark Riders--in signature style, Dark Riders has one of the gentlest sounds. The accompaniment is sweet and full-bodied. Effect: Apollo and Aphrodite welcome you home, victorious. An extraordinary sensory experience".

Atmospheres
Solo Guitar 1999

2023 Remaster

This music is a psychedelic fusion of finger style guitar with effects such as delay and a phaser creating an ambient space feel.

I recorded this using a old tascam tape machine and was inspired by many hikes in the old growth trees in Lincoln Park, Seattle.

"Thick, gorgeous tracks, a world in each and space to exist. As if time and space could be auditory. Hyperreality. The borders are permeable: you're in a bathysphere deep underwater, then in another dimension--the strange unknown is accessible, the unseen and unheard are given voice. ***Space kicks off the album, a rapturous lullaby. Contact, inversely, is pensive, spiraling like DNA. Other swells before Ghost Town, full of hidden energy. Listen in the place between sleep and awake, or in a bath, for full advantage of healing tones. This album is the sonic equivalent of a mandala. The mood moves from source of origin and spiritual longing to post-evolution bliss. Ideal for activating mind and soul. Each track is lush and heady. Brilliant" - Kodiak

Psychedelic Rock

Concept rock album of songs & instumentals recorded in 2005. Rob Tucker is on drums and Hugh Sutton on keyboards. Engineers Chris Hanzsek, Don Gunn
Review:

"This artist is known for more acoustic styling, but with this album he busts out some rock that will knock your socks off. He kept it simple with one word titles to the songs. The album starts out with some electric rock on a song titled, “Shape”. The second track called “Nightmare” is an acoustic rock style with a psychedelic flavor and contains vocals. We come to the third track titled, “Disciple” which starts interestingly enough with some environmental sounds and keyboard that builds slowly with guitar, drums, etc. into a jam sort of number. It’s like a great train ride that one can sit back and enjoy. Coming off that track we get to track 4 titled, “Take Me”, which is another acoustic song that also includes lyrics. This is a great song about a future society of humans as seen from an alien point of view. Following that track is No.5, which is more of a blues flavored song called “Ledge”. To me it has a sunset feel to it, like a soundtrack that you can sit and enjoy a sunset to. Track #6 is titled, “Curve” and has an interesting atmosphere done with guitar effects. It’s almost psychedelic, but not quite. It is also a jam type tune. Track #7 is another acoustic tune called, “Date”, which also contains lyrics. This is kind of a strange track, but enjoyable, like a strange Beatles tune, but not a direct copy of such. We arrive at the closer track, “Stars” This is sort of a reprise in its sound, but it is not a reprise. It is however, one of the best jams I’ve ever heard though.

Unified Fields

Instrumental psychedelic rock guitar album recorded in 2001.

"An interesting instrumental psychedelic album mixing acoustic & electric guitars with sitar like drones, chimes, percussion & melodic rock to create a trippy spaced out & relaxing soundscape. The result is somewhere between the music Pink Floyd made for Zabrinski Point, Jefferson Airplane's 'Embryonic Journey' & The Black Sun Ensembles Peyote Inspired Exotica. Pretty damn fine."

SOLO GUITAR

'News from the Pub' is a good representation of solo guitar shows from 1998 to 2004.

"Shadow In A Sun Filled Room"

Acoustic Solo Guitar with a classical, folk rock, raga feel.

This was done in 2000 on a Tascam tape machine. I was listening to a lot of classical guitar and sitar music. The intent here was to create emotional light and dark passages.

“Raga (color/hue, beauty/melody) is associated with seasons and different times of the day. So, too, does raga shape this album, moving from sunset to night, indoors, outside. If Message Service is chaos and brutal beauty in the jungle, here in contrast is the sharp joy of civilization, and duality. Sunset barrel-rolls sweet folk rock sound. When Bells Ring and Old Trees are like columns of insight, with straightforward attention to detail.… The rhythm-base in Shadow is as powerful as a confession, like the stress that beautiful structures endure as time and crowds pass--the lucid, lucent underbelly. The sensation of driving through fields with a guitar virtuoso in the backseat, to drink cognac in a solarium. Pleasure and anticipation. The Japanese aesthetic wabi sabi is applicable--a worldview that finds beauty in imperfection. In the forlorn, open-air sounds (Nice To Leave, Distinction) there is dusk and slowing, moving alongside an opening of brightness and polar light. Crafted with finesse and classical influence--growth and decay together here in an elegant pas de deux. Effect: sunlight captured in resin. Stand-outs: ***Into The Night and the magnificent On The River. Purposeful. High-level mastery. - Kodiak

Message Service

2003

2024 Remaster

Ambient, psychedelic, space. A movement of textural sound exploration.

Bowed Fender Telecaster with evolving percussion.

“This work is in the original pioneering spirit that inspired Space Pirate Radio in 1973. This work has that original spirit of freedom that we got from the first days of Pink Floyd, expanded upon by Popol Vuh, Ash Ra Tempel, Amon Duul 2, Heldon and others. Bravo and keep the spirit. Like the artists I mentioned, I will be going back to your album long after the bulk of New Age acoustic guitar, solo piano and so called healing works are filed and forgotten."
